I’ve posted before about the Hafu film project, but it is a documentary unfolding the journey of discovery into the intricacies of mixed-race Japanese and their multicultural experience in modern day Japan. The film follows five modern day “hafu,” or half-Japanese individuals, explore what it means to be multiracial and multicultural in a nation that once proudly proclaimed itself as the mono-ethnic.
The film is now being screened and is on a tour around California. It’s coming to the San Francisco Bay Area on April 7, 2013 at UC Berkeley. If you are interested, click the title link to register for your free ticket. There are only about 55 left, so get your hands on them quick!
